A prospective visit of a delegation from the University of Texas San Antonio (USA), on October 10, 2018

On October 8, 2018, the Federal University of Toulouse signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Texas, a first step towards a strong partnership in research & education.

To explore the opportunity of scientific cooperation with the CBI, the delegation of the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), composed of Lisa Montoya, PhD, Interim Vice Provost for International Initiatives, Floyd Wormley, PhD, Associate Dean,  Research, David Dampier, PhD, Chair, Dept. of Information Systems and Cyber Security, Howard Grimes, PhD, Interim Dean, College of Science and Jill Ford, MA, Assistant Dean, Engineering, visited us on the 10th of October, 2018.

The UTSA representatives met with Didier Trouche, Director of the CBI, Marie-Christine Miquel, Professor in Neurosciences, representing the Center of Research on Animal Cognition (CRCA-CBI, Patrick Blader, Director of Research from “Centre de Biologie du Développement” (CBD-CBI), Patrice Polard, Director of the “Laboratoire de Microbiologie et Génétique Moléculaires” (LMGM-CBI) and Isabelle Saves, head of international cooperation. The discussions focused on scientific cooperation on the area of neurosciences, Brain Health/Neurodegenerative diseases and microbiology.

To explore the new open avenues of cooperation, Isabelle Saves, will pursue the discussion with UTSA in the coming weeks.
