CBI is mobilized against the Covid-19 outbreak : collection and donation of protective materials, installation of the Crowdfight Covid-19 platform by the CRCA, Covid-19 screening tests. Last initiative : the LBCMCP is shipping a 96-well qPCR device to the Tulle Hospital Center to carry out SARS-CoV-2 screening in Corrèze.

A bacterium from our intestine delivers a new antibiotic

As the world worries about the growing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics, some solutions lie within ourselves. A large team of researchers, including L...

Dynamics of sister chromosome Pairing in Escherichia col

Chromosome pairing is a crucial step in the proper transmission of the genetic material allowing  neosynthesized pairs of chromosomes to recognize each ot...

Toxin causes death of M. tuberculosis by a previously unknown mechanism

To adapt to the stresses they encounter in their environment, bacteria produce toxins which, when not neutralized by antitoxins through poison-antidote mec...

A new type of epigenetic regulation

Research conducted by a Swiss team and Anna Mattout of the LBCMCP shows for the first time that there is, in the worm, another level of post-transcriptiona...

How phase separation helps segregation of genetic material

Like oil drops in water, the process of phase separation into condensate is now recognized as essential for the compartmentalization of cell components in ...

    Error-free repetition

Ribosomal DNA is composed of repeated sequences and is the most transcribed genomic region. Transcription of rDNA is essential for cellular homeostasis and...
