A prospective visit of a delegation of the Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), on March 16, 2017

A delegation of the Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) [https://www.mq.edu.au/], composed of Professor Nick Mansfield, Dean of Higher Degree Research Partnerships and Mr Matt Monkhouse : Director of Global Engagement and Business Development, Macquarie International, visited us on the 16th of March, 2017.

In its strategy of international development, the Macquarie University (MU) met with some members of the Federal University of Toulouse. The discussions focused on academic and scientific cooperation prospects and follow up, co-tutelle and joint PhD opportunities, joint research projects and funding applications and students exchanges.

The CBI-Toulouse has already privileged relationships with MU since the Research Centre on Animal Cognition (CRCA) has developed a collaboration with the MU Department of Biological Sciences and is currently sharing two co-tutelle PhD students.

To explore new opportunities of cooperation, Dr Isabelle Saves, Head of International cooperation at IPBS and CBI-Toulouse, presented the research activities of the CBI to Australian guests. The different ways of cooperation identified will be pursued in the coming weeks by further discussion between researchers and a sharing skill mobility programme between MU and CBI.
