For its 34th edition, the Science Festival took place from 3 to 13 October 2025 to explore all forms of intelligence and rethink what it means to be intelligent, beyond human boundaries.

In Occitanie Ouest, nearly 2,000 visitors went behind the scenes of research at the heart of our laboratories. This edition mobilised hundreds of scientists and attracted a large and varied audience. The CBI contributed to this success.

For the first time, the CBI opened its doors to the general public on Saturday, 11 October 2025. On this occasion, the laboratory welcomed 252 visitors. It was a great opportunity for the Toulouse public to discover biological research through interactive workshops, laboratory tours and direct exchanges with scientists. The day was a real success thanks to the 60 CBI scientists involved in the event.

The Science Festival at the CBI also included a visit on Tuesday, 7 October 2025, by 40 students from two schools in the region, who came to discover the laboratory’s activities, accompanied by their teachers.
