My interests have gradually shifted from the study of the origin and evolution of retroposons in eukaryotes, to systematic sequencing projects with the development of new computational tools, and to comparative and integrative genomics. I have worked on several biological problems in collaboration with experimental teams. My approach is to develop new data analysis methods using open-source software, and to tackle the various questions from an evolutionary point of view.
