Developmental Biology, stem cells and Regeneration
The DEVBIOL community seeks to understand the fundamental principles that govern the acquisition and maintenance of cellular identity, tissue topology and/or organ function during development, homeostasis and regeneration.
Using multi-scale approaches, various model organisms and in vitro tissue models, the DEVBIOL programme teams are studying in particular:
(1) The causes and consequences of developmental heterogeneity: from single cells to embryos and patients
(2) Organ development, maintenance and regeneration
(3) Fertility, reproduction and sex chromosomes
In the future, the DEVBIOL programme hopes to open up to the developmental exposome by integrating ecological and environmental factors into developmental biology.
