Molecular and cellular neurobiology
The Neurobiology research program (Molecular & cellular Neurobiology) deals with the integrative study of processes involved in differenciation, development, maturation, regeneration and experience-dependent plasticity within the nervous system, in both healthy and pathological contexts.
These questions are addressed in vitro and in vivo, in different experimental models (fruitflies, social insects, birds, zebrafish, mice…) through a wide range of experimental approaches: cell culture, manipulation of genome expression, imaging, electrophysiology, modeling, behavioral analysis…
Some of these research areas are also covered the Behavior research program, paricularly regarding studies in neuroethology, neurogenetics and modeling.
