The CBI Logistics Service plays a key role in the smooth running of the research activities carried out at the CBI
Its main missions:
– Maintenance and upgrading of the CBI buildings (17,000 m²) and infrastructures
The service ensures the monitoring and maintenance of the premises to guarantee a safe, functional and suitable working environment for the needs of research work. This includes the management of repairs, the monitoring of technical installations, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards, in coordination with the CBI’s prevention assistants.
Furthermore, the service is involved in the development of the premises by adapting infrastructures to the new scientific and technological needs of the laboratory, in coordination with the Occitanie Ouest CNRS Delegation and the University of Toulouse. In this context, it oversees work carried out by external companies.
– Maintenance and monitoring of equipment
The service works with technical teams to maintain and ensure the proper functioning of scientific equipment and infrastructures, thus contributing to the continuity of research work.
– Construction of custom scientific devices
In collaboration with research teams, the service designs and manufactures scientific devices tailored to the specific needs of researchers. These may include mechanical parts, experimental setups, and custom systems to meet the requirements of a specific research project.
– Management of the centralized supply store
The service includes a centralized store for the storage and distribution of common consumables and chemical products. Access to these basic resources is thus facilitated, ensuring a regular and secure supply for the entire CBI.
– Reception and distribution of orders
The service also handles the reception of orders and their delivery to research teams and research platforms. The goal is to ensure fast and traceable distribution of our orders.
