4R4-RDC | Salle Conférence (182 pers.)In this talk I will give an overview of how the evolution of social interactions can be understood by considering how rational agents would make use of social information. I will then explore the predictions this model makes for the nature of real social interactions, looking at the likely effects of different physical and social environments. I will also discuss how collective wisdom can be optimised in groups by changing how agents are rewarded, and implications for collective endeavours such as science and politics
