Establishment of epithelial renewal during gut development

Intervenants

Morphogenetic processes during development are tightly regulated to establish adult tissue homeostasis and thus prevent any unbalanced growth that may lead to disease.

How the gut epithelium is remodelled during late development in order to establish homeostatic tissue renewal is currently unclear

Our goal is to gain a qualitative and quantitative understanding of the spatiotemporal interplay and balance of forces during gut development, and thus mechanically define the switch from morphogenesis to steady-state renewal.
