We aim to identify the mechanisms of microtubule reorganization in differentiating cell types. In this context, we are studying the role of microtubules in the formation of the barrier in the skin. We are investigating the role of centrosome proteins in cultures of keratinocytes and in knockout mice, and we are determining the functional significance of microtubule-anchoring to the cell cortex during keratinocyte differentiation. Besides, we are characterizing the role of centrosome proteins in the differentiation of myoblasts.
