Presentation
As a biological data processing scientific engineer in bioinformatics, I conduct comparative genomic analyses with phylogenomic approaches. Our team's main research interest is to use genomic data to clarify the evolutionary history (ancestral genes, horizontal gene transfers, gene gains/losses) that shaped key cellular processes. I also provide functional information on genes for experimental work. My favorite model organisms are archaea and bacteria, but I also study eucaryal species, including humans.
I work in the team Genomics of integrated systems (Fichant) where I manage and maintain the databases for complete genomes of bacteria and archaea, like the Archaeal and Bacterial ABC systems database, ABCdb. I perform the phylogenomic analysis of helicases implicated in the RNA metabolism among the archaea, in a research project in
collaboration with the team RNA biology in Archaea (Clouet-d'Orval). In collaboration with P. Redder's team I also study helicases implicated in the RNA metabolism of the pathogen Staphylococcus aureus and other Bacillota.
I maintain the LMGM website together with its group of team referents.
In CBI 1point5 - Mobility, I co-organize the CBI's shared bicycles, Allons-y à vélo and Digital Cleanup Day.
