On 17 October 2023, Magali Suzanne (MCD-CBI) was awarded the biology prize of the Louise Basset widow Jules Martin Foundation of the Académie des Sciences, in recognition of the work of her team, which, by combining cell biology, biophysics and modelling, has made significant progress in understanding the mechanisms by which cell death affects tissue structure.

The "Apoptosis-dependent morphogenesis" team is currently exploring the mechanisms involved in epithelial morphogenesis.
