On Friday 15 March, the regional final of the "Ma thèse en 180 secondes" competition will be held at the Théâtre Sorano in Toulouse.

For the 2024 edition, 16 doctoral students will be taking up the challenge of explaining their research subject to the general public in the simplest possible way, in just three minutes.

Among them, Anthony Defert (CRCA-CBI) and Henri Mboumba (MCD-CBI) will attempt to represent Toulouse in the national semi-final, defending their thesis topics "Study of reproductive success in a context of hyperaggressivity in Drosophila melanogaster" and "How cohesin loops DNA" respectively.

Congratulations to them, and we'll be there to encourage and support them!
