Congratulations to Ikrame Lazar, winner of ARC “Passerelle” funding!

The ARC Foundation for Cancer Research created a new call for projects in 2023: the “Passerelle” call. It was created to promote the integration of the most promising cancer researchers into research organizations (EPST) in France.

For its first edition, the association's Board of Directors wanted to support 10 winners for a total amount of €1 million. Ikrame Lazar (MCD-CBI) is one of the 10 winners who were distinguished at the end of December 2023.

Ikrame Lazar will thus receive €100,000, which will allow her to continue her research for a year at the CBI to better understand how to optimize the effectiveness of chemotherapies by studying the immune reactions, particularly inflammatory ones, that they generate, and apply for competitions with research organizations in the hope of becoming a statutory researcher. Ikrame Lazar has already had the chance to be funded by the ARC Foundation to complete her thesis and for a post-doctoral fellowship.
